Slow and Steady

This week has been a little slow for the Blue Rabbit Cottage.  I've been busy making baby presents for several of my friends, and finishing the school year up with my fourth grader.  Time just flies by and suddenly it is Friday again.  Thanks for stopping by to visit us at the Blue Rabbit Cottage.  I have a few design ideas to show you, a simple yummy recipe, and a fun book to share. 

On the Design Table

I've been working on some necklace designs this week some are more fleshed out than others.

The mostly finished one is probably my favorite, but it is hard to choose.  Do you have a favorite?  It will be exciting to see how they get blinged out in the next week or so.

Creamy Chicken Pasta

1 lb chicken
2 cans crushed tomatoes
1 cup spinach
1cup sour cream
1 box penne pasta

Cook chicken in pan.

Once cooked through add spinach and tomatoes warm through:

add sour cream.

Meanwhile cook pasta based on box directions.  Add cooked pasta to the sauce mixture and serve.

It is so simple and quick. A great meal for these hot nights, serve alone or with a salad.

On the Bookshelf

The Proof is in the Pudding by Melinda Wells.  Della Carmichael owns a cooking school and has her own cable cooking show.  She's asked to step in last minute and be one of the three judges for a cook off at a local hotel.  Then one of the other judges is murdered and Della's friend is the prime suspect.  Della knows she has to step in and find the real killer before her friend is thrown in jail.  This is a good read and even includes several recipes in the back of the book.  This book is good for any cozy reader.
