End of Summer

It has been Christmas in July around here at the cottage.  Ornaments are in the works for the upcoming Christmas season.

These are some of the ornaments we'll have this coming holiday season: stockings, presents and not shown here Christmas trees.  Our Christmas items will be available in November.  Check back then for some season specialties.

The gift basket is coming along nicely in time for the auction and the shop.

Also, coming soon are bath salts sold individually.

July Fun

With July underway it's time to set our sights to back to school season.  I know here the school starts the beginning of August and I'd guess its pretty similar for the rest of you as well.
So on that note, here's a sneak peek  at some upcoming items for the back to school season.

 

Show your favorite teacher or students some love with ruler, pencil, or stapler earrings. $6.00 each.

 

Also, in the works  are some back to school bows. One of my favorite new ribbons is white and features a ruler pattern.  I'm looking forward to working with the ruler with some nice bright colors.  Make your little school girl happy with a new bow to make the first day back special.

 

Outside of school related projects, I've been working on house hold items such as this lovely dish towel with matching wash cloth. I can give you a glimpse, but that will have to do for now.

Summer at the cottage

Things have been busy here at the cottage.  We've been working on lots of new projects.

One project is gift baskets.   We are donating a basket to the Brown County Animal Shelter and Humane Society - Georgetown, OH's "Dog Days of Summer" event on August 1st 2015.  If you're an Ohio reader make sure to go check out the auction and support a great cause.

Our gift baskets will be on etsy as well, so if you can't make it out to the auction check back on etsy in August for your chance to buy your own basket.

We have some new bows and jewelry up now like this lovely necklace.  Other beautiful pieces will be coming soon, so check back often.

We're celebrating the fourth of July in style with bows like this. My girls begged for some tutus for the occasion,  pondering bringing tutus into our repetoir.

Coming this fall will be some warm fleece tie blankets such as this big cats blanket.

Spring bows

Spring is right around the corner and Easter is not much longer.  Even though it's dark and rainy here we're dreaming in spring pastels.

 Purple Easter bow. This bow is approximately 3.5" across by 4" It features pink, purple and white with pastel butterfly ribbons and has a purple button in the center. This bow has a silver alligator clip. $5.00

Spring Frog Bow- This bow is approximately 4" across by 4" long. It features green ribbon and light blue with pastel frogs and flowers ribbon. The clasp is a 2" silver barrette. $5.00 

Pink and Red Ladybug Bow- This bow is approximately 4" across by 4" long. It features a red and white ribbon and a light pink with lady bug ribbon.  The clasp is a 2" silver alligator clip. $5.00

With winter comes yarn

This year, between family and friends, we will be welcoming  four babies.  Since the weather has been cold, to say the least,  I've been spending as much time as possible curled up under a blanket, making a blanket.  My cousin is having her first baby, a boy- for them I made a blue ripple .  I love these colors.

I haven't decided if the blanket I'm currently making will be for other cousins or the family friend, but I am enjoying the soft neutral colors.

After so much knitting, I took a break to make some fleece blankets for my girls. Pictures of them are up on our Facebook 

page.

Chainmail Bracelet

Finally got a chainmail bracelet finished and placed on etsy.  Who knew it would be so hard to photograph one tiny bracelet.  I'm just starting to learn how to do some chainmail.  It's amazing how the older you get the smaller the jumprings are.  I was asked if I could make another bracelet for a man so I'm trying to work on that.  I will share pictures when I get it done.

 

 

 

 

 

We have had quite a bit of snow this week.  I hope everyone is staying safe and warm.  Found bunny tracks in the snow.  Was going to put a picture up but it just won't come up. I will figure it out and post it later. 

 

Have a litter of kittens who were born with heart problems and I lost one of them yesterday.  Well, they aren't kittens anymore as they are 8.  I ended up keeping them when told if I didn't they would all be put down.

Valentine's day

Welcome to the blue rabbit cottage.  We're getting into the swing of things for Valentine's day this year.  I hope love is in the air at your house.
