Happenings at the cottage

We've been spending some time working on Halloween costumes for the family and rounding up Christmas presents that need finished in the upcoming months.  This has been the year of the babies for our family and friends as we just learned two more friends, one coach, and one family member are expecting babies, and one of those is another set of twins.  It will be a busy time working on gifts for upcoming holidays and baby shower presents- but it will be greatly enjoyed.  There's no greater joy than handing your loved ones an item made or chosen especially for them.

As the Leaves Fall

New at the Cottage

We are glad you came to visit us this week at the cottage.  We hope you're enjoying the changing of the seasons as much as we are.  Here the leaves are just starting to turn and the air is crisp in the morning, we won't mention the heat in the afternoon though.  Thoughts are turning to hot tea and hoodies in my house.  If you're feeling the same here's a few fall findings for you to peruse.

Now, I know we aren't bluerabbitcottage on Ebay, but thought I would use my old username because bluerabbitcottage is too long.  We are also exploring other options for selling good deals.  We may have another place you can find us soon check back here and we'll let you know what's happening.

The Last Blast of Summer

What's Happening Around the Cottage:

We've been enjoying the last of this summer weather playing outside, gardening, and taking field trips to places with air conditioning; so we've not been working as diligently as we have been. 


We do have a few projects up our sleeves such as a felted purse in the works and a fleece tie blanket for little boys.  After looking at our shop I realized we have two blankets available for little girls, but none for boys, soon that will be remedied.

The felted purse is made from wool in greens, and purple variegated with a light green mixed together.  It will have two handles made from the light green and, of course, still needs to be felted.

New Up at the Cottage:

Besides our lovely line of Halloween and Fall items we are offering a Blue Parrot Snuggle Blanket.  This blanket is larger than your average lovie blanket and is perfect for snuggling.  If you have a little bird fan at your house treat them to this lovely blanket with a friendly face.  The blanket comes in two shakes of blue with a variegated color highlighting.  $30.00.

On the other side of the cottage Cat is working on a fall wreath. 

 I started with a handmade 15 inch grapevine wreath and just built on that.  I just love fall colors.  The wreath reminds me of when I was young and would rake leaves with my friends just so we could jump in them and spread them all over again.

More Halloween bows of course.  Halloween is one of my girls' favorite time to dress up in seasonal outfits with matching bows, so I love making a wide variety of Halloween and Fall bows.
