School TIme

 It doesn't seem possible, but summer vacation is over.  School has started and volleyball games are in full swing.  Does your family do sports?  How do you find time to get it all done?  Lately I've been bringing crafts to games with me.  Since players have to be there an hour early, that's an hour of uninterrupted craft time.  This week I finished this blanket for a friend who's expecting her 4th little boy. 

This summer was full of sweet baby blankets, but I forgot to take pictures of most of them.  I had a lamb, bear, dragon, and the dog. I started a monkey, but I didn't like him, so he's a dog now. 

With schedules so jammed packed everyone is getting a little cranky and tired.  To help combat this unthankful slide, we're doing a 14-day Kindness Challenge over on our Facebook page. Each day I'll post a challenge to bring some kindness to the world around us.  Once you've done your mission of the day go back and like the post.  Then we can all see how much kindness we've spread to our communities.

What are some of your favorite books? This summer I've read everything from Dune to Incredibly Bright Creatures.  My two book clubs keep me on my toes.  We've read horror, romance and science fiction.  Book clubs are a fun way to expand your horizons.  Or you can pick a book at random and try it out. Check out Ebay often for new titles.  

Christmas in July

Trying to beat the heat? Holy Cow

Last summer we had a pop-up petting zoo at our doctor's office.  What a fun surprise!

Fun for the Kids and the Kids at Heart

 Summer is here, maybe not the season in nature, but the season of the school year.  We just finished our dance recital, and everything is over and calm... until next week when volleyball starts. Tryouts are Tuesday and Thursday, so we'll see how that goes.

Our summer reading theme at the library is Colors this year, so I've been busy making the librarians crayons.  It's been a fun little project. Please excuse the messy desk, it has a mind of its own.

Calm Weekend Vibes

 Now that school is wrapping up for the year and recital is looming in front of me, I could use a nice night in.  If you're in the same boat, I am we have some wonderful relaxing products to help make your relaxing night a reality.
