Halloween is Just Around the Corner

 Today our weather decided it was fall, took it long enough, but we'll see if it lasts.  This is the best time to get your last-minute Halloween shopping done.

Rainy Weather Time

 

It's finally fall, like on the calendar even though it's still pretty warm here.  But with fall comes stormy weather.  When you're rained in for the day you can check out our puzzle books.  We have this cute Bible Word Search and many other puzzle books on our Amazon and Etsy stores.

We took a weekend trip last week for a volleyball tournament and got to enjoy some beautiful scenery.  

What type of activities do you like to do in the fall? This time of year is always fun but so busy around here.  Volleyball is coming to an end and Nutcracker is just beginning.  I never know if we're coming or going.

School TIme

 It doesn't seem possible, but summer vacation is over.  School has started and volleyball games are in full swing.  Does your family do sports?  How do you find time to get it all done?  Lately I've been bringing crafts to games with me.  Since players have to be there an hour early, that's an hour of uninterrupted craft time.  This week I finished this blanket for a friend who's expecting her 4th little boy. 

This summer was full of sweet baby blankets, but I forgot to take pictures of most of them.  I had a lamb, bear, dragon, and the dog. I started a monkey, but I didn't like him, so he's a dog now. 

With schedules so jammed packed everyone is getting a little cranky and tired.  To help combat this unthankful slide, we're doing a 14-day Kindness Challenge over on our Facebook page. Each day I'll post a challenge to bring some kindness to the world around us.  Once you've done your mission of the day go back and like the post.  Then we can all see how much kindness we've spread to our communities.

This summer I've read everything from Dune to Incredibly Bright Creatures.  My two book clubs keep me on my toes.  We've read horror, romance and science fiction.  Book clubs are a fun way to expand your horizons.  Or you can pick a book at random and try it out.
